Laboratory
Acosta Corp. coffee industry has a small lab within its facilities, every company can send their tasters to taste our coffee in the facilities. In our facilities we classify coffee by density and sizes using a classifying machine.
Description of our equipment
The first process is the removal of the second protective layer that is like parchment paper. This layer protects the coffee while stored.
Impulse taster, in this process any residue will be removed from the peeled coffee such as stones or small sticks that has passed the first process.
Grain classifier, in this process, the coffee bean is segregate by size the equipment is designed to segregate the product in 5 sizes. This will classify the coffee and have a uniform appearance because the grains have the same size.
The next process is roasting the coffee grain. Determine the time required according to the amount of beans to roast. We roast the coffee in small batches to ensure consistency in the product.
After roasting the coffee it is sent to a mill, here the coffee is grated. The product is transferred by elevator to a container or silo that is located above the packing machine.
The last process is packing the product, in this process we use a packing machine that uses hydrogen to displace oxygen and seal the bag air tight to ensure the quality of the product.
